Shifra, a value-added distributor (VAD) of information security, identity protection and enterprise mobility solutions in the Middle East, has partnered with Thales, a provider of information systems, cybersecurity and data security solutions, to distribute its data protection and trust management in the region.
Under the agreement, Shifra will make available to the channel Thales’s advanced data security solutions and will work towards building the vendor’s market share in the application security space, by delivering hardware security modules (HSMs) and solutions for PKI, digital signatures and electronic IDs.
Thales said it wants to grow its presence in the Middle East, in light of the rising need for cybersecurity.
Ahmad Elkhatib, managing partner at Shifra, said: “The very digital trends that have revolutionised user access to data are unfortunately the same ones that have left businesses vulnerable to intrusions from cybercriminals.
