Thomas Widdershoven Resigns as Design Academy Eindhoven Creative Director

Thomas Widdershoven, creative director and chair of the executive board of Design Academy Eindhoven, has announced his resignation.

In a letter that has surprised the design world, Widdershoven said that he will not return to DA Eindhoven for the September term, citing professional reasons.

Design Academy Eindhoven is considered one of the world’s finest tertiary institutions for collectible design, counting among its alumni a vast number of most prominent contemporary designers, among them Joris Laarman, Hella Jongerius, Marcel Wanders, Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of Studio Job, Tord Boontje, Sebastian Brajkovic, Maarten Baas, and Nacho Carbonell.
