A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mrs. Gloria Adebajo-Fraser, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint a credible chief economic adviser in view of the economic challenges facing the country.
This, according to her, is the way governance is done in developed countries.
The PDP chieftain, while appraising President Buhari’s first anniversary in office, said the President had recorded commendable progress in tackling corruption by exposing looters of the national treasury.
She, however, said the Federal Government needed to devise innovative ways to sustain the anti-graft war.
“Also, this administration has not appreciated the role of irrigation in its agricultural programmes. There is no meaningful programme on food security that can be achieved without the correct type of irrigation.”
